The Tea
Higgins Afternoon Blend is a wonderfully rejuvenating tea. A finely balanced blend of Indian, Sri Lankan and Chinese teas, it makes the perfect accompaniment to a slice of cake or sweet treat.
An exquisite fusion of high-quality Darjeeling, Assam and Ceylon leaves are combined to create a sumptuous black tea with a lively citrus flavour. We add a hint of bergamot to the blend giving a vitalising lift.
Recommended brew method
We recommend brewing our Afternoon Blend for 3 and a half minutes at 100°C. Best enjoyed black, or with a slice of lemon.

20 years after my first visit to the shop (visiting the UK on holiday), and I'm still ordering the Higgins Afternoon Blend. To me it's the perfect tea, and as long as they sell it, I will find a way to keep drinking it!

A joyous bright tea that goes well on its own but I love mixing it with breakfast tea for a bright first cuppa of the day.
