Creole Blend Coffee
Creole Blend is one of our bestsellers and has been a frequent feature of our daily roasting schedule from the very early years of our business.
Created by Harold Higgins in the 1950s, this blend was designed for customers who were asking for stronger, darker blends but without any harsh bitterness or acidity.
Creole Blend is a mixture of South American beans from Colombia and Brazil, roasted dark to produce a coffee that is powerful, rich and very smooth.
With notes of dark chocolate and rich cacao, this blend has become very popular as an after-dinner coffee, but the refreshing blackberry finish makes it perfect for all occasions.
Duke Street Tea
Taking its name from the street of our shop in Mayfair, Duke Street Blend is one of our best sellers.
A favourite of Mr Tony’s sister Miss Audrey, this blend is wonderfully versatile and can be enjoyed at any time of day, whether you’re looking for a strong, brisk cup to wake up with or something full flavoured to complement a sweet treat of an afternoon.
We blend Assam and Ceylon teas for an invigorating cup. Ceylon provides bright, refreshing notes while the Assam gives a strong and malty aftertaste. This produces a deep colour in the cup and a vibrant flavour that fills the mouth.
Blue Lady
Our famous Blue Lady tea is one of the best selling and most popular on our list.
To create Blue Lady, we blend China Keemun tea with perfectly blended additions to produce a delicious fruit tea with a refreshing and uplifting flavour. Keemun forms a complex and flavoursome base.
We add dried mallow and dried marigold flowers for a subtle floral note. Finally, grapefruit provides an intense citrus aroma.
The result is a refreshing tea with a delicate perfume, a perfect balance between the fruity and the floral.

A Higgins Christmas in 1952
Christmas is a special time for us at H R Higgins (Coffee-man) Ltd because you have told us Christmas wouldn’t be the same without our coffees and teas. There is the thrill of seeing your orders come in and the challenge of getting them to you on time. We have always worked to do our utmost to get even the last-minute orders to you in time for Christmas. December is so short, with only about two and a half weeks to complete the Christmas orders.
